Special ABCs of Strings MP3 Audio & Data CDs

Dear String Players,

The ABCs of Violin for the Advanced, Book 3 and The ABCs of Cello for the Intermediate, Book 2 have new MP3/Data CDs consisting of 3 components:

1. MP3 performance tracks:
Violin and Piano (Tracks 1 to 37)
Cello and Piano (Tracks 1 to 43)
2. solo Piano accompaniment tracks:
Violin CD: Tracks 38 to 74
Cello CD: Tracks 44 to 86
3. a pdf file of each piano accompaniment book

Here are MP3 Directions:

My students use iTunes or Windows Media Player to listen to the performance tracks on their Computers, and to play along with the piano accompaniment tracks.

1. Insert the disc. A popup automatically appears:
"CD Drive (E:) The ABCs of Violin" or "CD Drive (E:) The ABCs of Cello"
2. Click on:
Open folder to view files
using Windows Explorer
3. Double Click on the first mp3 Track title to listen to the first melody.
There are 74 Audio Tracks on the disc of ABCs of Violin Book 3.
There are 86 Audio Tracks on the disc of ABCs of Cello Book 2.
The Table of Contents in the beginning of each book lists all the titles and tracks.

My students also enjoy using iPods and MP3 players with a docking station.

MP3s can be played on:
1. Computers and Laptops via iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc.
2. MP3 Players
3. Smartphones 4. Tablets

Each Disc also contains the EASY PIANO BOOKS, so you may download and print each book.

It takes a few seconds to download one of these entire books:
The ABCs of Violin Easy Piano Accompaniment for Book 3
Click on Track 75: ABC5Xpianoacc (this is the pdf file)

The ABCs of Cello Easy Piano Accompaniment for Book 2
Click on Track 87: ABC15Xpianoacc (this is the pdf file)

Go to File, Click on Print.
There are 1-40 pages in The ABCs of Violin Easy Piano Accompaniment for Book 3.
There are 1-45 pages in The ABCs of Cello Easy Piano Accompaniment for Book 2.
It takes 10 minutes to load the files to print the entire book, but you may print individual page selections.

How to Convert MP3 files to Audio CD:

*COPY AND PASTE MP3 FILES INTO A NEW FOLDER:


1. Insert MP3 CD into CD/DVD Drive.

2. Copy the files:
A. Click on first piece/song.

ABCs of Violin Bk 1, Mary had a Little Lamb (#1)

B. Scroll down to the final piece.
C. Click on Shift button.
D. Click on final piece. (all tracks will be highlighted in blue)

ABCs of Violin Bk 1, Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring (#68)

E. Click on Control and C to copy all tracks.

3. Paste the files into a new folder.

*EJECT THE MP3 CD (Right click on DVD Drive, and Eject)

*INSERT A BLANK CD INTO CD/DVD DRIVE

*CHOOSE:

1. Burn an audio CD
Windows Media Player
2. Minimize/reduce your folder window and Windows Media Player window so they are side by side.

3. Drag and Add each MP3 file individually from your new folder to the Windows Media Player List.

You will see:

"Burn list"

"Drag items here
to create a burn list."

As you drag each mp3 file, a Popup will say: + ADD to Burn List

4. When finished adding all files, Click on Start Burn.

Example: ABCs of Violin for the Absolute Beginner, Book 1 has 68 tracks including solo violin with piano tracks, and solo piano accompaniment tracks by themselves. It takes approximately 6 minutes to burn the tracks on to your new Audio CD. My CD automatically Ejects when finished. Label and it's ready for a CD home or car player.
